With its nature of mountaineous terrain and archipelago of the territory, it brings challenges to deploy infrastructure to reach those people. Hence satellite plays the important role to reach them and enable to facilitate their connectivity to the world as well as dissiminating information to these people in the country.
And now, we have achieved it. As the largest country in south east Asia region with more than 235 million populations (2015) and its challenges in deploying infrastructure, we can bring them connected, eventough we have not yet proved them all areas with broadband connectivity. The number of mobile subscriber currently reaches 270 millions, more than the population.
In the broadcast industry, Indonesia has 10 national TV channels terrestrial free to air having existence in almost all big cities and claims to cover 100 millions eyeballs. However, there are other side of people who cannot enjoy this terrestrial TV channels, but satellite.
